Is the oil level correct? Did you plug in the sender?

this may sound stupid, but how is your oil level? also how is the harness. often rodent damage is present on this harness.

You'll need to have the vehicle recoded. The oil level message has nothing to do with a faulty sender.

Any tips or DIY instructions on replacing the oil level sender?
My "Check oil level" warning comes on from time to time and every time I turn the engine off.
I've checked the oil level and all is well. I even had the dealer look at it and they said the sender was bad. I don't remember the price, but I know that they wanted my left arm to pay for it.

you need to remove the re-inforcement plate. and then remove the oil level sender.

The lamp control module needs to be recoded. You cannot buy the equipment to recode this yourself. (unless you have 10's of thousands of dollars to waist just to do this one recoding.) Most of the time is a combination of the oil level sensor and the lamp module coding that causes the light/message to come on.
