Hi All.
This is my first post on this board. i own a 2004 m3.
i would like to know how many kilowatts does shrick cams make?
Is this mod good for the car?
Also the intake systems, which brand to use, how much more Kw?
I will appreciate a response.

Don't know the answer, but if some knows it in HP the conversion is
1 HP = 0.746 Kw

The problem with the Shrick cams from what I understand is it moves the peak HP further up the RPM band essentialy passed the 8000 rev limit.

I have had Schrick 272-280 cams in my car for 25000 miles, I dynoed my car before and after, see the Dyno graph below.
I have never seen anyone post results for the hotter 280-288 cams.

I have never seen any graph for the 280-288 but I suspect a small gain over 7000 RPM, possible small loss below 4000 RPM.
Turnermotorsport can supply the cams at a good price.
I use the AFE version 1 intake.
I suspect your in europe because you want power in KW if so you already have euro headers, if you want better headers try the SS stepped, I have them and tested them, good gain.

howzit Guys
I have checked with Turner Motorsport and the cams they stock for 2004 led rear lights spec is 280 degree and 288 degree csl cams but i was told that this spec (2004 to 2006) comes with csl cams.
im totally confused now and please would appreciate a response.

I recall that the standard M3 cam spec is 268-268 for all years of production, there is a part # change in 4/03 but that does not necssarily mean a change in spec (BMW loves changing part #s)
The CSL came with 272-272 cams.
Your choice is between 272-280 or the hotter 280-288
Just tell Turner what you have and what you want, Ive never seen them make a mistake.

Do you recommend the 280-288 cams? Is the engine smooth? Any engine harm?
thanks.........
