So... i have lived in Jersey for about a year and a half. I have been an asshole the entire time. All the while I get pissed when I am in the left lane and the cars are driving slower than all the traffic, and pretending I am not even there (on their a55).

I just realized this month, that with all the time I spend in the right lane (because there are never cars in it) that it is really the fast lane. I guess
I should not have assumed that the fast lane was the same in every state.

So for the all the Jersyites that I may have cut off, flipped off, or tailgaited I apoligize.

lol, im with you, i just tailgate the shit outta everyone and yes, i have gotten into a lot of verbal and ALMOST phisical altercations with people on the road because of it. Check the plates on the cars, its 90% of the time people with NY or PA tags going slow as shit in the fast lane.

that might explain the Hummer H2 that was on my arse flashing his highs at me to get out of his way while I was in the far right lane

Thats probley cuz our speed limit is 55 and yours in 65 so us new yorkers think 65 is speeding and dont realize its 65mph zone not 55 lol...I cant stand those people going slow in the left lane..I herd you can get a ticket if your going to slow in the left lane cuz its a passing lane..

Maybe there are some of these left lane hogs reading this here post. Why do you guys hang out in the passing lane when your not passing??????? Your forcing people to pass you on the right! This isnt a safe practise! I see people get onto the highway from an entrance ramp and then head directly to the left lane, with nobody in the right lane, and no exit ramps on the left side for 30 miles. It really makes my day ( rolls my eyes, sarcasm voice) when you have a 55 driver in the slow lane, and a 55.2 driver in the passing lane! It takes the one doof five minutes to get by the other guy, meanwhile there is a wagon train of 20 cars bogged down behind em. THE ROLLING ROADBLOCK! Grrrrrr! I Passed one geezer who flashed me a 'FIVE, FIVE' hand signal, meaning " Im hogging the lane because Im doing the speed limit"
I HORNED THE MOFO and gave him the ONE, ONE signal with my middle finger and hurtled away. Theres a bunch of self centered DICKS out there. :mad

whoever mentioned that pa and ny drivers seem to be the ones in the left lane are spot on.

it just seems to be that way, especially on the turnpike and the parkway.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this PA driver won't be in your way in the fast lane. I am in jersey a couple of times a month to see my Girlfriend in Newark and you guys generally drive fast but love to cut people off without giving a shit!LOL If you are not going at least five over, get out of the left lane. On a side note, this might be due to your roads in jersey being confusing as hell and out of staters don't know which way they need to merge next, but then just stay in the middle!!!

I HATE rolling road blocks. It is such an unsafe practice. The less time you spend beside other cars the better.

Not this PA driver. I am on the GSP a couple of times a month and I am sure as shit not driving like a granny!

Yeah they passed it but it really doesn't make a difference as the police find it very hard to enforce.

:lol

i find the middle lane the best for me. This way i can move back and forth between the other 2 I do about 65 in a 55 and 70 in a 65. What i hate most is when two cars are blocking the road and doing the same speed and holding up traffic.

i find that waving my pistol out the window and tossing empty 40 bottles at cars usually gets them out of my way....:dunno

lol, but yeah i dont think i lot of people really care, you can tailgate people all you want, most wont move because if you hit them its all you fault not theirs...so what do they have to lose really? an hour of their day? :dunno .....it doesnt matter, thats why you need a bike, then nobody is in your way because you can just go between them :alright

yeah, i miss my bike. traffic is meaningless on 2 wheels.

i never understand how ppl ride side by side at the same speed. don't they ever look in the rearview mirror and see the the line behind them? idiots:eyecrazy

Why the left lane I dont know, perhaps they are British tourists. Why not get out of the way? They feel they are 'entitled' by the fact they are doing the speed limit and thus obeying the law. The fact you may need to get somewhere faster than 55 doesnt matter to them. They are selfish, egotistical, road snobs. This mindset doesnt change until some 'raging psychopath trying to get his bullet ridden girlfriend to the hospital in a stolen dump truck' rams them off the road and sends them cartwheeling into the oncoming lane of traffic.:D

I had that issue yesterday. I was heading up towards philly and when on the highway, I tend to set my CC for about 71 or 72.. fast enough not to attract attention... I passed this one idiot on the AC expressway and he sped up to match my speed. I actually had him riding next to me for about a mile until I was able to trap him behind a slower car that I passed..

Which brings another of my pet peeves.. last year I was heading home.. I passed an M class doing the same 71/72 mph I prefer to travel at.. a few minutes later, he passes me after I slip into the right lane... then slows down. I passed him again, then he passed me again.. ad nausium
