Hey, like the title says, ive been eyes this 97 cosmos black m3 for months now. It seems to be in pristine condition, 1 owner and the dealership has had the car for a while now. I am contemplating heading down there tomorow its a bit over an hour from me here in CT.

So my question, has anyone gone to look at this car and the condition it is in? or hear anything bad about this dealership. I know they listed it on ebay a few times at a higher price than 12,999 probably just to pay for the ebay fees.
heres the autotrader link below.

any input is appreciated. thanks

uhh i ran carfax for the hell of it and mileage came up as 170,000. something is def fishy. plus it has no records at all. all carfax says is when it was bought and the next record is when the title was changed over to new owner i guess 2nd owner. real sketchy.

yea the fact there isnt anything report for 10 years is weird, but the mileage discrepancy i think was the dealer fault, im gonna call and inquire about it before and trip

I've carfaxed cars from them when I was on the hunt for a daily driver. I never even got as far as to get in the car and take a drive over there. Your mileage may vary

im telling you. sketchy carfax will cause you to have an adometer discrepancy and future resale of the car will be shot.

I would stay away from that car, I went down to look at it when I was looking for a car, the guy says it has 71,000 miles, but it has 170,000, its in not that good of shape(back bumper needs repainting, needs new sunroof, because someone tried to break into it, the hood has alot of defects, etc) my dad drove it and said it felt dead, no power

Its not worth the drive, you can find a better deal for a better price

My friends car is for sale, check it out-

yea it was in decent shape, but the carfax history was far to sketchy to buy from a dealer, they had great photos though on autotrader. i could have had 170k and gotten that rollback software for the odo. I mean they repainted the hood apparently at only 70k because it had rock chips and the mirrors reflected that.
