Pulling the motor out of my track car car and putting my girlfriend's motor in mine (she's buying herself something a little quicker... ;))
~145k miles, off a pretty late build '95 M3... I'll check the door tag for the exact month when I get home. Brand new water pump, thermostat, aluminum housing, new belts, etc... just replaced the entire cooling system on the car a couple months ago. "Turner Stage 1" kit (3.5"/Conforti chip/intake) included, minus the intake (will need it for the next motor). Willing to include the intake in the sale for an extra $300 with heat shield (http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=JCINTAKEE36) I will include my ECU with the chip installed.
VANOS needs replacement, noisy at part throttle, gets better when it warms up. Motor pulls plenty hard up all thru the range, no driveability or signifigant power loss... but it's noisy, and should probably be replaced.
Motor should be available next weekend or soon after, and would preferrably be picked up from the shop we're doing the swap at (located near 15 & 76 freeways, near the Escondido Auto Mall), I don't really want to ship (hence the California forum post).
Anyways, I figure 3k is a good price for a strong motor, and it's got the $1,000+ Conforti kit, minus the intake... but it needs vanos rebuild... so lets say $3,000 OBO for the motor/ecu/HFM. Pickup VERY much preferred.
