The battery in my car went dead recently when it was in the shop for repairs. Since then the clifford remote wont unlock the car. I took it to once car stereo place that did clifford alarms and they wanted $60 just to mate the remote back up to the alarm.
anyone know where i can get it done cheaper than that? I live near San Jose. I think its a real quick 2 min job for someone who know what they are doing.

i forgot to mention, but i did find some instruction for the alarm in the car. Its a pretty old clifford alarm, a Bullet II. I tried following the instructions but never got it to work. There probably is a trick to it, thats not mentioned.
The instructions I have are:
1) vehicle ignition to ON position
2) flick the valet switch back and forth, counting the number of chirps. Stop when it get to 13 chirps.
3) press the remote control button #1
4) wait 3 seconds, expect 1 chirp for confirmation.
5) Turn the ignition off.
Seems straight forward, but i never get the confirmation chirp.
Do I have to put the remote in a particular location for it to mate properly?
When i couldnt get it to work I went to the local Clifford place.
