Pulling the motor out of my track car car and putting my girlfriend's freshened up motor in mine (she's buying herself something a little quicker... ;))

~145k miles, off a pretty late build '95 M3... I'll check the door tag for the exact month when I get home. Brand new water pump, thermostat, aluminum housing, new belts, etc... just replaced the entire cooling system on the car a couple months ago. "Turner Stage 1" kit (3.5"/Conforti chip/intake) included, minus the intake (will need it for the next motor). Willing to include the intake in the sale for an extra $300 with heat shield (http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=JCINTAKEE36) I will include my ECU with the chip installed.

VANOS needs replacement, noisy at part throttle, gets better when it warms up. Motor pulls plenty hard up all thru the range, no driveability or signifigant power loss... but it's noisy, and should probably be replaced.

Motor should be available next weekend or soon after, and would preferrably be picked up from the shop we're doing the swap at (located near 15 & 76 freeways, near the Escondido Auto Mall), I don't really want to ship (hence the California forum post).

Anyways, I figure 3k is a good price for a strong motor, and it's got the $1,000+ Conforti kit, minus the intake... but it needs vanos rebuild... so lets say $3,000 OBO for the motor/ecu/HFM

also willing to split up the 3.5" MAF and ECU/tuning if the buyer of the motor doesn't want them and I can find a seperate buyer for them

Suspension is almost finished, RTABs and control arms/bushings. Getting my new headliner and sunroof fix done this week, so the roll bar can go in... then the Sparcos, and it'll be ready to cornerbalance/align. Motor swap, new clutch/flywheel, transmission "fix" (5th gear stick), short shift kit, and new motor/tranny mounts.

it'll emerge along with myself, at the end of tax season. :help Summer can't get here soon enough!! :redspot

Good deal for someone. Poor girl though, you're going to smoke her when you decide to go turbo.

how much sans turner kit.

I'm thinking $500 for the ECU/tuning/3.5", and $2500 for the motor without?

$500 on a $2500 motor? I would never sell the motor as low as$2000, so why would I give somebody 20% comission on the sale, reducing it to that? :confused

I wish my woman would wrench....

I think she's installing the sunroof repair kit and putting my new headliner in today, maybe swapping the Recaros in and putting the roll bar together for my buddy to weld... :dunno

I'm still trying to find the head bolt socket. I wanna get this head off the E34 asap. But I guess I could start stripping your car while I'm waiting for Mr. Snap-On to call me back. :dunno
