Several of the MN guys have heard this story from Friday. My wife and I took her Silver 1997 328i to the car wash on Snelling Ave. and County Road B in Roseville Friday afternoon. We had a coupon and we were pressed for time otherwise I would have washed it myself.
Well we pulled in and waited in line until it was time to leave the vehicle and go inside. We waited quite a while for the car to come through the wash, but that is not the problem. When the cars got to the end of the wash line an employee would hop in and pull the car forward for a toweling off. Well the guy that jumped in to Marissa's car put the car in reverse instead of first gear and proceeded to fly backwards into a Ford Expedition. At first it looked like it only came close, but when we walked outside to the car there was damage. The bumper cover needs to be buffed out and painted from all the scratches, the black strip on the bumper needs replacing, the piece that runs from the quarter panels above the bumper cover needs to be repaired, and the trunk needs to be painted. All this to the tune of just under $2K. The moral of this story is wash you own car, or at least don't go to a Mister Car Wash.
