I'm going to be in Englewood, CO for the week. I will be there for a couple days on business, but I'm going to extend the trip to the full week to try and get a little vacation time with the girlfriend and go skiing.

Can someone make recommendations on good places to eat?
What about cool things to see/do?
Finally, what is the best skiing that is the closest to Englewood?

Thanks in advance!

Englewood is basically south denver, so you're going to have to head up I70 to go skiing. Pick a resort, Keystone, Breck, Copper, Vail, they're all going to be 1.5-2 hours away.

Where in Englewood? It's pretty big, so it might help to know where you will be spending most of your time first along what you generally like to do in your free time.

For skiing, anything is pretty good as mentioned above, but Steamboat, from what I heard has had a lot of snow lately, but Copper would be your first stop from I-70, then Keystone, then Breckenridge, and then Vail. There is Loveland and Arapahoe Basin, but they are not as great as the other ones IMO.

Out by Centennial Airport? I live not too far from there. If you want a fancy restaurant I like Maggiano's Little Italy off Dry Creek and I-25. Maybe you could catch a Nuggets game or hit up 16th street mall if you get bored.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am staying off South Monaco Pkwy in a Marriott. So far, I have skied Winter Park (Monday), and Copper Mountain (Tuesday). It was pretty cold today (by my standards) so I stayed off the slopes and went on the Coors brewery tour in Golden.

If you have any other recommendations, please let me know..

Honestly I'm not sure, but I had a Jadegrun '02 before this one and its almost an exact match. It was repainted by the prior owner who is difficult to reach, so I'm not sure exactly which color he used. Its a race car so it doesn't matter too much to me.

Yeah, sorry for the threadjack as well. If anything you'll probably get more answers this way.

Here's a link to a post with photos right after I got it. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,293088/

Oops. Didn't mean it to sound that way. :stickoutt

To the OP - some places that are nice to go are the Budweiser, New Belgium, and Odells breweries in Ft. Collins. Red Rocks is great to visit, and so is the hot springs in Idaho Springs. If you like local microbreweries, Rock Bottom makes some decent beer. Lower downtown (Lodo) is always a fun time for visitors, lots of bars and clubs if you are into that sort of thing.

I didn't mean anything bad, I just started reading it as if you were listing the resorts in order as you went west. For that, it would be Loveland, Abasin, Keystone, Breck, Copper, Vail, Beaver Creek...

OP - what are you looking for? Groomers? Steeps? Park? Trees?

No worries. Knew what you meant.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Just got back from Denver and has a blast. Thanks for all the recommendations... I ended up going snow mobileing the last day, and went to the hot springs.

Good times...
