hmmmmm.... looks pretty good, but don't know why the moldings were painted. not too many M5 owners do that.
car fax? don't know whether it will tell eveything; another way to check the car history is to get the insurance quote via using the exact VIN# of that M5, the auto insurance should be able to pull out whether the car has the salvage title or not.

it would not have a salvage title at that pricing,

that's what started me thinking.... it has pretty low mileage but then the price is also low.

I just bought the same car except black with the grey/black interior for $21,900. I had to replace the brake pads and fresh oil and I was good to go. Your prospect does look to be in better condition than the one I purchased. Read on the M5 board and do some looking into the 2000 year and its weak spots. Be sure there aren't any ses lights on the dash either. Other than that these cars are crazy fun. Happy shopping.

CarMax does not sell salvaged cars. They will pull the CarFax for you as well. The only down side is that you cannot haggle them on the price. Good find but sort on the high side for cost.

Bought a 2000 jet black M5 with two tone aspen blue and black interior with 57K miles on it for $23.000. Clutch was a little soft so I replaced it and got a 38 month 48,000 mile extended warrantee bumper to bumper for just under that price-closer to 25. Just for comparison.

I REALLY want an M5, just wasn't sure exactly of their "avg" pricepoints, it seemed really low to me. If I decide to actually buy one this will probably be the first I look at, I only want alpine white.
