View Full Version : 135i 1/4 mile times? LiftedSilverado 01-13-2008, 02:43 AM How much faster is the 135i than the 335i? bmwretard 01-13-2008, 03:16 AM Might actually be slower, the 1 has a 3.08 diff ratio. g35doc 01-13-2008, 04:58 AM Might actually be slower, the 1 has a 3.08 diff ratio. So does the 335i Thomm 01-25-2008, 04:18 AM 135i Thomm 01-25-2008, 04:18 AM i think it will be a 12 sec car!!!! m3chaser 01-25-2008, 08:30 AM how fast is the 335i in the 1/4? Isn't it a mid 13? If so, and the 135i is lighter then I would imagine it being a mid to low 13 car but I would not bet that it is a 12 sec car from the factory. Now you put a procede or vishnu tune on it then YES! AzNaLaN15 01-26-2008, 12:09 AM vishnu sucks ohnoes 01-26-2008, 12:40 AM IMHO it will be high 12 or low 13 stock. Scott Digital 01-29-2008, 07:18 AM I do not see 12's in the future for a stock 1, not even a tii 2006 BMW M6 4.1 12.4 (R&T Feb '06) 2006 BMW M5 4.1 12.4 (R&T Feb '06) 2008 BMW M3 4.0 12.5@114.8 2008 BMW 335 3.0tt 13.6 read below http://www.leftlanenews.com/real-world-bmw-335i-0-60-14-mile-times.html The BMW M3 is making 114 HP, that is over 100 more then the 3.0TT motor, plus much more torque. But these are just opinions, I am trying to be realistic. Scott Digital 01-29-2008, 07:42 AM I am pretty sure thats a typo? But yes I agree low 13's to 13flat is more likely. I was saying the M3 has 114 more HP then the 3.0 motor it is like 414 SAE...... for the M ohnoes 01-29-2008, 11:27 AM Considering that the 335i weighs a couple hundred pounds more than the 135i and it can do the 1/4 in lowish 13s stock, I do not see why a 135i couldn't get into the very high 12s stock. Xii 01-29-2008, 01:44 PM I was saying the M3 has 114 more HP then the 3.0 motor it is like 414 SAE...... for the M Oh ok yea i read that out of context. MaloventEvil 01-29-2008, 06:22 PM this is all well and good, but everyone can agree that with any of the stage 0 tuner chips, it should hit high 12's no problem :) (and being on an enthusiast's forum, i think a majority of them will be chipped :) ) M0nK3y 01-29-2008, 06:33 PM this is all well and good, but everyone can agree that with any of the stage 0 tuner chips, it should hit high 12's no problem :) (and being on an enthusiast's forum, i think a majority of them will be chipped :) ) we can only hope..........:rolleyes Frogger 01-30-2008, 07:26 PM Some people will certainly get into the 12s stock. cgjarvis 01-30-2008, 11:52 PM I would have my doubts without Drag radials and or slicks!! Without a true limited slip, traction will be a big issue getting off the line with stock tires. We will know soon enough.. e46 M3's getting 12's is not the norm is it?? ohnoes 01-30-2008, 11:56 PM I would have my doubts without Drag radials and or slicks!! Without a true limited slip, traction will be a big issue getting off the line with stock tires. We will know soon enough.. e46 M3's getting 12's is not the norm is it?? No, E46 M3s are low 13-second cars. Only a few have made it into the 12s stock. cgjarvis 01-31-2008, 01:27 PM That's what I thought. I took a new 335i out today for a test drive. It's fast as hell...but I dont think your going to see any 12's out of it. My 390hp Cobra only manages high twelves and its a whole lot more grunt than the 335i. With a few mods and some traction...12's will not be that hard with the 135. gobuffs 01-31-2008, 01:52 PM The BMW M3 is making 114 HP, that is over 100 more then the 3.0TT motor, plus much more torque. Not that it matters much, but the 335 has more torque than the M3 (300 vs 295 for the M3). prash 01-31-2008, 03:32 PM out of the box it'll be a low 13 second car. mikead99 02-03-2008, 12:47 PM .1 or .2 seconds faster than the 335i, 200 lbs weight savings helps, but not that much. Maybe with DR's we see 12's stock, but not on oem rubber imo. Should be real easy to get it to a 12 second car though with just a few mods and flash or piggy-back. white911 02-03-2008, 05:25 PM did I come to the wrong site? Do people routinely drag race these cars? m thrizl 02-03-2008, 06:41 PM ^yes. bimmers are drag only, especially open diff 135's, you may want to cancel your 135 order. the discussion is nothing more than speculation on what sort of performace the 135 will have out of the box vs its bigger brothers. mose121 02-03-2008, 07:10 PM 384 hp / 421 lb-ft. with Dinan software should get you into the 12's. That car pulls like hell! 0002s 02-08-2008, 06:55 PM my guess is stock it will trap 104-106ish. times will depend on driver but I'd guess high 13's for most people. VTECommie 02-09-2008, 01:55 PM This is the dumbest thread ever. Just wait for the car to come out... JD 6SPEED 02-20-2008, 08:43 PM 335i 13.5 1/4 mile 135i 13.3 1/4 mile Thats 1320 feet sir. Its rated at 295 lb ft when the 335i has 300 skratch 03-01-2008, 12:55 AM Im sorry but the m3 may have 114 more horsepower but it actually has 5 less lb ft of torque than the 335i.
