My VF software redline is about 6800, so you should be ok if you only went to 7K.

my redline was just raised to 6800 but the peak HP is at 5700 soo shifting out at 6K is almost perfect!

sucks that money shift could end up dropping your tranny!

Geez it put it up that high! I was under the impression that anything about 6400-6500 would result in the pistons nicking the valves!

Wow so high again...

I can't remember exactly where this is on the dyno graphs (and you may be right) but you're suppossed to "straddle" the power curves and shift so that when you get to the next gear your RPMS are at the top of your torque curve. This way you theoretically don't loose any HP by shifting and it only goes up once you hit the next gear.

As flat as the M62's torque curve is however there is some "safety" in not getting the shift perfect, unlike the peppier, rev happy M3 engines that are slightly higher to get perfect.

yeah 6k shifts are great for this engine, it seems like the car runs better at 6k then at and other engine speed(as if it hurts it to drive it slow haha)

yeah i know i should be fine since the clutch was pushed in there was no engine load which healps alot

stock rev limiter is like 6250 right?
