Up for sale is my Calypso Red Metallic exterior with Parchment Leather interior, 1991 850i, V-12 Cylinder, BMW with the rare 6-speed Manual Transmission.
There is a complete information sheet below that will describe everything there is to know about this beautiful 8 Series BMW. I also have a complete CarFax from April 2004, as well as many ‘how-to’, parts and repair manuals. I will try and describe the condition as best as I can; if you have any questions please let me know.
This car has about 133,000 miles on the odometer; it had a little over 121,000 miles when I bought it in April of 2004. I am the forth owner. This is one of only thirty-two 850i BMW’s sent to the United States, with this color combination and 6-speed Transmission, from 1991 through beginning of 1993.
Many new parts have been added to the car in the last seven years. I have the complete history from the previous owner as well as everything I’ve done with a total of around $30,000. In the end of 2006 I rebuilt the top end of the engine, put on new tires and wheels, had the interior re-done, added new brakes, as well as many other things.
The interior looks like NEW. The seats, center consoles and door panels were re-done two years ago, and a lot of new interior parts put on last year. The exterior, for a car with this many miles, is in good condition, showing some stone chips (front of car and windshield), but no damage.
This BMW has all the options you would expect from a world class coupe, including a 12 Cylinder Engine, 6-Speed Manual Transmission, a sunroof, seat memory controls, heated seats, dual climate control, A/C blows cold and the Heater blows hot, big front and rear brakes, ASC plus Traction control, top of the line BMW stereo radio with in trunk BMW 6cd changer, and all the power options work!
The wheels are M-Parallel; 8x18 front with 245/40x18 Yokohama db2 tires and 9.5x18 rear with 275/35x18 Yokohama db2 tires. Both wheels and tires have less than 1,000 miles on them. The front and rear brake pads (Mintex) were replaced and the Calipers were rebuilt in December of 2006.
The previous owner had the car re-painted but there is one small spot on the driver’s side back part of the roof, and a place where the paint is cracked on the rear bumper.
This car SOLD for just under $90,000.00 when it was New; I have copy of the Window Sticker showing all Standard and Optional Equipment.
