hey-

just wondering, although throtttle is mecha on s50b32 and elec on s54b32, is there any way to adapat a full s50b32 dme and wiring harness setup to accept a S54b32 longblock (usdm e46m3) only swap? im talking, all sensors, all manifolds (at least intake) and use of other ancilleries (s54 m coupe) to fit a S54b32 engine into a E36 chassis (usdm) with a S50b32 wiring setup (european spec, will have to be imported)-

Has anyone besides me ever thought of this? i know you can convert a usdm s52 obd2 longmotor to run on s50 OBD1 full wiring and DME

Most likely not. The S54 is a beast all to itself. If you could do it you would need a complete cpu reporgram (not just WOT).

It sounds like shortly a complete wiring harness will soon be available for this. Check out the thread in this section called 'S54 in an E36 doing it the hard way' or something close to that. From reading that I think the company might start making a wiring harness kit for the E36...I could be wrong though.
