Hi I have a 2007 Z4 3.0i Automatic and I have been interested in getting a supercharger or turbo or anything to upgrade and increase the HP of the car yet so far all I have seen is air intakes and exhaust. Nothing major.

Isn't Active Autoworks down your way? Contact them--they should be able to suggest something.

Ask them if it is possible to use the same SC (C30 I believe) from the E46 330 for your car. They told me that if I wanted to do one, it might cost a couple extra bucks and some extra time but they MIGHT be to make it work.

The ESS kits seem to be well regarded from what I've read. There are some users around with 530i's who had them. No one on the boards I know of with a Z4 and ESS kit in the US unfortunately. Seems like a great bit of kit from reading about EU cars with it tho.

I did some google searches on it, and it looks like there are dealers where you can get it for a bit less than their list price. I saw the TS2 kit for $7k somewhere. Its definitely on my "dream" list for the car.

yep I tried ESS as well seems the problem is with the comp on the 2007 that and my transmission I just spent a couple of hours with Active Autowerks and basically to geta supercharger for a Z4 3.0i automatic it will be somewhere in the $15,000 range. i would basically have to change the transmission and just about everything else.

the simplest solution is to get an M but I have grown fond of my little 3.0i and the thought of putting in an extra 100hp into my car, is well a very sweet idea. If impossible at least for Now!!!

I didn't realize (read) that you had a 2007, sorry! The ESS kits are for M54 engines only right now. (03-05). They say they are currently developing one for the S54 MZ4 right now. Perhaps with a little encouragement they would make the N52 kit next.

There is really nothing right now for 06+ Zeds except as you mention an intake. Expirience dictates it takes 2 years or more for stuff to start slowly coming to market on low volume cars like ours.
