I officially started school again on the 7th, and after evaluating my finances, I decided she has to go :(

I've put a lot of money into this car over the past 3.5 years, and I've kept every record since I've owned it. I wont pull exact figures out because theres too many receipts, but Im sure it evens out to around 2k a year.


Heres the basic stuff:

1997 BMW M3 2dr Cosmos Black/Black interior

120k miles (Purchased with 78k)

Non smoker, no accidents, no track time, meticulously maintained by a car nut!

What the car needs:

1 o2 sensor
1 Front right wheel speed sensor
1 fog light (damn rocks :mad)
1 dash bulb just burned out


I will probably fix these things before the car is sold, but just in case someone wants it quick, I can maybe bargain on price a little for the things listed.

All in all, car is in good shape and runs VERY strong.

Price lowered. Cant go much lower because the brakes alone are worth 1500 used. If I lower anymore, I'll put the stock brakes on and sell the brembos separate.

128k miles. Needs tires, 2 fog lights, 1 o2 sensor, 1 wheel speed sensor, and a bulb behind the dash went out. Other than that, car is the same and runs and drives great.

Asking: $13,500 if I fix all the problems before the sale (which I will be doing in a timely manner in the next couple of months), OR

$12,500 FIRM if I dont fix these things.

When was the last time the clutch was replaced? How about shocks, struts, and bushings? I see you were previously including powerflex bushings, is that still the case? Have they been installed? Can we get some updated pictures, especially ones showing places with wear and tear (seat bolsters, front bumper, etc.)?

Hah, the wheel speed sensor hasnt been fixed in over a year...mainly because its not a big deal and keeps my ASC turned off constantly, which saves me the trouble of flipping it off when I get in anyway.


The o2 sensor isnt really bad, just faulty. It tripped the light twice I think in the last 8 months. Needs to be replaced ultimately, but isnt exactly a problem. Technically, I didnt even need to disclose that info since the CEL is not on. But since Im not a dick, Im making the next buyer aware of what needs to be done.

As for the fogs, I took them out a long time ago. I went through 3 sets due to rocks, I never use them, so why would I buy new ones? Again, just letting the next buyer aware in case he wants fogs.

The dash light is recent, its only 1 bulb on the far left of the cluster. Barely noticebale, just makes it slightly dim. Again, a normal person inspecting the car probabyl wouldnt notice that, but again, just saying. I havent had the time recently to tear apart my cluster to replace 1 bulb...not exactly high priority.

I have never replaced the clutch in the 4 years I've owned the car. I dont think a clutch is included in the 60k service, so I would say its original. The clutch is fine, no slipping or anything to indicate there might be a problem.

Shocks and struts should be updated. I still have the bushings, but unless someone says otherwise Im probably going to sell them separate.

I'll get updated pictures soon, along with better shots of the interior.

The original for sale thread was actually just a feeler, and when I posted it for 15k, someone was ready to fly out and buy it. I wasnt prepared to sell, and actually decided to keep it. However, whats changed in the last 6 months is that I decided to go into the military, so Im selling everything I own.

I dont know what you're trying to prove here, and dont understand why you're trying to be a dick about everything. But thanks for free bumps, I guess.

I think its important to understand that when I made this thread originally, I ONLY posted my car for sale here...and I had over 15 PM's about it. I posted it here first because I wanted an idea of how much to price it to local buyers. I was also on the fence about selling, and decided to keep it. The car has NOT been for sale this entire time. I never even posted it locally. I have nothing to hide, and those of you who think my price isnt fair is more than welcome to come out and see it. If not, kindly mind your own business unless you have a legitmate concern, which I will address like I have been.
