View Full Version : Bigger flywheel = more drag lunch torqe!!
MR.E36i 01-10-2008, 01:01 PM Hey every one
looking for the best set up for more powerfull grip launches with drag slick 15" wheel
1) which would be the best set up ? some say's that UUC ( light flywheel+M5 cluch upgrade ) will handel the lunch grip with less torq losses ?? :help:help
2) what is the diameter of the UUC flywheel plz ?????????? :help:help:help
Best Regards,
JamesM3M5 01-10-2008, 01:16 PM The E34 M5 clutch is still only 240mm diameter, but engages VERY smoothly, which makes drag launches easier. More aggressive compounds grab more quickly, which can make drag launches a lot more difficult to get perfect.
Launching at 3000-4000RPM, I wouldn't think you would need that much momentum in the flywheel. The UUC flywheel with M5 setup should prove quite nice.

I usually go for a burrito from one of the food carts for maximum lunch torque. Sometimes, though, if I really need to clean out the exhaust for a good lunch I'll get a chicken cheesesteak--this is Philadelphia, after all. That usually results in a pretty good "lunch grip" on the toilet the next day.
Cheers,

I noticed, just a little fun teasing ... no need for embarrasment. Work gets boring, cut me a break. ;-) I'd add something productive here but I have no drag experience, except that one time at that one club but let's not go there!

Im all for fun and games and as someone who lives in the country and frequents bfc, I can take it. But an outsider and foreigner may not see it as all fun and games. I'd hate to have someone turned off due to cultural miscues.
