Is it just me or does any one else hate the trim on their cars?

I replaced the 4 corner peices with euro trim, they were scuffed up but not falling off

Now all the trim on my doors keeps falling off....on my driver door the lower peice came off so I super glued it on (holds pretty good now). My back right door middle peice came off cuz most of the clips broke, car looks just wonderful now :rolleyes Passenger side trim has come off twice, both peices on the door

I think Iv replaced almost every peice except the lower trim peices on my car.

Sorry this is more of a rant than anything

I was in the same mood as you once. I wound up replacing every black plastic piece on my car.

Yeah, I have this problem too.... most people do I think, unless they go and replace it all...

Right now my headache comes from the stupid door trim. I've replaced 3 out of a potential 8 pieces so far, and the driver side rear door on keeps lookin at me... it's come loose on the front edge, so I see the gap everytime I get into my car...

They're a pain in the ass, but you can't avoid them unless you custom your doors.

Fuck I just got home from school, shut my door and the bottom peice just fell off......

Must be karma from making this thread

My trim is in awesome condition and is already Euro-Spec... just like the rest of my car cause I'm an Aussie =)

But yeah the only trim-like problem I have is that it seems like my rear bumper is.... drooping a little next to the tyre side... I'll HAVE to take some pics of my car myself, I've been putting it off for ages.

I don't have a problem with trim, just can't stand fading falling off trim.

The bottom trim (seal) on my doors all came off. I ordered new ones, and they arrived today, but I'm not sure what glue I should use to adhere them to the door.

I actually expected them to come with glue pre-installed. When I ordered the windshield trim it came with glue pre-installed.

So really my question is should I use glue, and if so what?

I don't believe there is any glue, although I've never done it. I just assumed it would be a tight fit in itself...

I think you're right, in fact, Lowell answered my question in another thread, http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=906533

So the old ones fall off because they get old and bent out of shape? My old ones are definitely warped.

I think it's just old rubber. Part of my driver's side one disintegrated...I haven't done anything to it and won't until I know that I'm keeping the car or until the weather warms up.

the only piece on my car that is falling off is the driver side door trim. damn jack slapped against my car and started to fall and pushed up the trim, broke 1 clip.

i have the same problem what kind of glue did you use?I've used Gorilla glue when I need something with a little more "substance" over superglue; that stuff really works for me. Wear gloves, though. Residue didn't come off my hands for almost a week!
