So I just got some Vorshlag 4100's and I'm just a bit stuck on that it seems like the spring is just going to fall out of place on the shock unless I have it jacked way up.

How much of a gap can there be between the top of the spring and the upper perch when there is no load on the shock, safely?

You know what I mean?

OH and also, the rear springs just 'sit' on the adjusters that also just magically 'sit' in place of the old regular springs with nothing holding them in place? what keeps them from moving around?

You need to be more specific. "going to fall out of place on the shock unless I have it jacked way up"...? Got pics?

The rear setup is held into place just like the stock spring. There are nubs on the upper control arms and the frame rail to keep everything from sliding out.
