I was going through some of my old Porsche parts and found some radial mount Turbo Calipers. I could fab up some adaptors but if there is some place I could buy some it would be easier due to my lack of time. Anyone know where to source some? I think there was a business called Movit that used to make them. I searched and found there site but it looks like they just sell complete kits now.

I know this may not be the best option but I figured I could utilize some of the "junk" in my garage.

Good luck. I don't know of any place that sells just the brackets now. I had 2 sets of them a few years ago, they came with my CM car. I sold both kits so I now have nothing. I think I had Carlos do a CAD on them though, that we might have. I had a local shop quote them for me and IIRC, and remember this is probably 3-4 years ago now, it was $125/ea if I bought 2 pairs of them. Since I didn't need them I didn't buy them. If you want the drawing lemme know, I'll see if I can find it.

Cheers.

I made a model and drawing of those things a while ago, heck I was on Unigraphics then. :stickoutt Reminds me I should move those over to Catia.

I can probably dig those out tomorrow.
-Carlos.
Cool.
Do you remember what calipers they were for? After some more research, I have C2 turbo/928 GTS calipers (aka Big Blacks). Those were replaced by 993 Twin Turbo calipers (aka Big Reds) on my former racecar. They should still be sufficient for my car since it will be about 400lbs lighter than the Porsche.

They were for the 993TT calipers...Big Reds.

Mike Robinson at Sports and Imports in VA put together the kit that is/was on my race car. Porsche 993 calipers front and back. I still have the rear set with rotors, calipers, and brackets and I'd sell them if you were interested. It was just too much rear brake for me. I am currently using the fronts, they work great.
Mike: 757-545-9394. He should be able to tell you where to get what you need.

Thanks. I know Mike and I will give him a call. I have rear calipers. I just need to track down the parts to make them work on my car.

What rotor would you use for these calipers/brackets on a e36, also is it for a M spindle or standard e36?

The particular bits that I had I believe were the original Steve D'G stuff so it used custom hats along with 993TT rotors. Basically you can buy the P car rotor, remove the hat, install the custom hat and there ya go. This was for E36 M3. I ran this set up I think twice then switched to an AP F/R combo then ultimately ended up with a StopTech front only kit.

EDIT: One of the reasons I switched from the Porsche set up was that the friction ring was smaller and heavier than the others.

Cheers.

Steve D'G has one caliper adapter available for when he was selling the Movit BBK. I was trying to find a rotor that would work. The 993 TT rotor might be too big though.
