2003 M3 conv. Unlock button and Emergency Light button not operable. Also,
alarm system not activating and key remote not working. Checked fuses and reinitialized key(s) but no success. Other than that love the car!

The first one is most likely the switch. This is a common (and documented) problem. Searching would have answered your question, on the first one. Not sure about the alarm system. I hate electrical problems... my radio is currently inoperable and I have absolutely no idea what it is.
