I want to buy one. Local preferred and I am hoping to spot a good deal.

I am thinking a .270 Not a cheapo brand, but one I can buy and last forever.

With or without scope...I'd rather have a scope on it, bu can always get one later too.

hunting... I just got back from a hunting trip and we are planning another, but I really should have my own gun.

I like the 270 b/c I can use it for a pretty broad range of game.

Pre-Japan Weatherby would be a keeper.
The Japanese Weatherbys are more affordable but still nice.

the new Kimbers are awesome... best new gun for the money, and definitely keepers.

I buy old mausers and pray they shoot well... that's my game.

my dads 1911 Argentine shoots well enough to take the head off a wooden match at 100yds...not that i would know.

go 270 winchester or 270 weatherby. reliable and long-lasting.

ummm... those are chamberings, not rifles.

270win is a .270-caliber round based on a necked-down 30-06 case.

you can have a great rifle in about any chambering, but the chambering doens't make it great.

i have a paintball gun if you want that. It even has a silencer on it and then it will be as long as a rifle..
