I'm going to be in ATL in a couple of weeks for business and I'm going to rent a Gallardo for a few hours while I'm there for a late Christmas present to myself:D I know how bad ATL traffic is and thought I would see if you guys know of any good roads or Highways that have the least amount of traffic. It will be on a Monday around 2pm to 4pm if that helps. Roads don't have to be that curvy, just don't want to deal with sitting in traffic. The place I'm renting from is close to Hwy 400 in Buckhead. I was thinking about driving up towards Cumming on 400...would that be my best bet??? Any suggestions would be appreciated... thanks in advance

I wish I could but it would cost me an arm and a leg...I'm already on a budget and as you can imagine this thing isn't going to be cheap to rent... for only 2 hours is gonna cost me $795 and I think I can only put around 65 miles on it. any other suggestions?

Yea... Especially where 400 and 285 and 400 and 85 meet.

You won't be able to get anywhere worth driving (and back) inside of 2 hours or 65 miles.

Just make a few fast runs up & down 400.

Be careful if you take that car up 400. There's a Georgia State Patrol post just north of Cumming and I'm sure they'd love to ticket someone driving a car like that.

For $800 in atlanta youd probably have a better time with some blow, hookers, and beer.

I think I would rather go to Andretti Indoor Karting and run Karts till I puked. Then race some more.

Basically away from the city.

:rofl...yea, thought about that, not really. I've had my days with drugs in college and I'm over them, I'm married so I don't think hookers would be a good call....now beer is an everyday thing that will happen at the hotel room for sure after running that Gallardo hard for 2 hours!

The way I look at it is I've always wanted to drive a Lambo or Ferrari, etc since I was a little kid...I'll probably never have the money to own one so I thought this would be a neat idea since I got some money for X-mas to blow...who wants to buy clothes or some boring shit like that anyway.

Wow. Those are pretty restrictive terms on that rental.
You may want to shop around.

Not too much around that area of 400 as far as driving roads.
And on any given weekday, traffic will be a problem.

400 North past the outlet mall are the real roads.
But please be careful out there. A splashed Lambo on a GA backroad is a bad new story.

If you can make it to 53 past the outlets like the last poster said, you'd have a good time. I think that trip may exceed your limit of 65 miles, though. If you're not trying to go too fast you can find some nice residential roads in that area that are pretty cool to cruise through.

that highway that connects 285 and 75 is always dead. Esp at night... 675 i think it is?...

65 Miles is pretty restrictive for mileage. It will be really hard to get to low-traffic roads in that range from Buckhead. If you head South of the city you can get to lower traffic areas more quickly than heading North. South Fulton Parkway always seems to be empty. Fulton Industrial Blvd clears up if you head far enough South on it. But a Gallardo is going to REALLY stand out in those areas. Have fun and be careful.

Where does 400 and 85 meet?

400 merges into/out of 85 just north of midtown. I live in the Caribbean and know that. :rolleyes :redspot

And IMO you're just going to be frustrated with the Lambo if all you get is 65 miles. I'm sure it'll still be fun but 30 miles around Buckhead in all directions is going to have a lot of people.

Just drive as much as you want. When you're done, let the car run in reverse on blocks like Ferris Bueller.

I'm not sure that's a good idea. Remember how that ended?
