Any Oregon guys in this forum, im from Salem/ORegon, just wondering what type of cars you guys got and mods?

97 M3/2, Cosmos, some mods, audio system, Grants Pass.

I'm from Salem. I'm down in south Salem but spend most of my time drving to Wilsonville for work. 400 miles a week on my 98 Estoril Blue M3!

I saw your post last night but didn't have time to respond. I will keep an eye out for a black E36 4door with rims. Where in Salem are you at?

Portland Here! I do lots of waving and light flashing, but have yet to find many enthusiasts that even recognize the car...:rolleyes:

Im in NE Salem, over by McKay High SChool and Albertsons, I saw you're estoril blue M3 yesterday when i was goin to get some burgers downtown, it was at some shop i think....i dunno what shop but i've been there before.....anyway that's a really nice car, i think it's yours, you have really dark window tinting rite???

Nope, different Estoril. I think I have seen the one you are talking about though. Click here (http://home.earthlink.net/~stone19/) for a cheezy little web page that I made last year. Gives you an idea of what the car looks like, at least from far away. I am going to redo it someday when I have the time. The page will probably go away soon because I just changed ISP's.

I have a night class at Rock Creek on Monday and Wednesdays, so does my friend with a red E30 M3 too.

Yeah, that car is tizight. As some people already know, I don't like the engine conversion, and a few other things on that car. But the color is kinda similar to mine.

I don't have a lot of mods on my car, but here they are:

25mm brake master cylinder
Hawk HPS pads
Bimmerworld Backing plates
ATE Super Blue
K&N
H&R springs
Bilstien shocks
Borla Exhaust
Sparco seat (1) I know it sucks
Some random stereo stuff

I heard there's major street racing up in Portland, u guys ever race you're bimmers?

I lived relatively close to the tanasbourne area, near Glencoe High School.

Well, that's where my parents live..

I'm down in Eugene during the school year, and there are a lot of bimmers down here.

The Portland racing scene is no comparison to the Seattle racing scene. Portland used to be bigger, but it died way way down when they opened PIR at night, and when the cops got way WAY strict.

I'm personaly glad they opened PIR to night time racing. There's really no need to do it on the streets when we actualy have a legitimate track w/ timing equipment and light tree's available on the weekend nights so cheaply. We have so many dumb drivers around that can't handle their honda's ;)

It is good they opened up PIR for night races...but I hear they can use a little work on that track. I never raced on it when I lived up there, cause i heard it sucked. I was always told, save your money for Woodburn!

I did love goin out to the races every friday night tho.

Yea that was my car.

I thought so, you got a niice lookin M3, that car show was tiight i especially liked the 325is and the one w/the Z3 fenders!

The purple one was Alex's car, he's on DTM a lot, and he makes some really nice videos. The black 325is was in Eurotuner this month.

Is there any other place to view the videos.....for DTM you have to pay $10 bucks atleast.....post some videos

When is there gonna be another portland meet.....when do those usually happen?? I'd be interested in attending one...looks like a helluva time!

I just got the zundfolge today and there is a Spring BMW Drive scheduled for May 3rd.

Driving directions:

8:30 Drivers meeting at the Olive Garden Restaurant parking lot, 8700 SE Sunnyside Rd, across from Clackamas Town Center.

8:45 Drive east on Sunnyside Rd toward I-205, and turn left onto I-205 north. Drive 12 miles across the Columbia River, take the Hwy 14 exit east to Camas.

9:45 After 35 miles, turn left into Beacon Rock State Park. Drive through the park and turn left to reach the upper picnic area. This is a great place to take pictures of the Columbia River.

10:00-10:15 Depart Beacon Rock State Park for Hood River. 32 miles.

11:00-11:15 Arrive in Hood River. Drive across the toll bridge (75 cents) into Oregon. We may need to park on the street, so bring coins for the parking meters. Lunch is scheduled at the famous Pasquale’s Restorante at the Hood River Hotel, 102 Oak St. After lunch, we will have time to visit local shops, downtown Hood River, or the Full Sail Brewery (opens at noon).

12:30 Depart Hood River on Oak St driving west, which turns into Cascade Ave and Country Club Dr. Connect onto Hwy 281 south to Parkdale (23 miles).

1:00 Stop at Parkdale for ice cream or a visit to the Elliott Glacier Brew Pub or the Hutson Museum.

1:30 Drive 21 miles down Cooper Spur Rd south to Hwy 35.

1:45 Turn right onto Hwy 35 south past the Sherwood Forest Camp Ground and the Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort to Hwy 26 (20 miles).

2:10 Connect onto Hwy 26 west thru the Ski Bowl/Government Camp area to Sandy (32 miles).

3:00 In Sandy, turn right at the first stop light to Dodge Park/Bull Run onto Ten Eyck Rd. We will drive to Corbett. After 3 miles, turn right onto Bull Run Rd, which becomes Gordon Creek Rd. After 10.5 miles, at the intersection with Hurlburt Rd, proceed straight onto Evans Rd and arrive in Corbett (2 miles).

3:30 In Corbett, turn left onto the Old Columbia River Hwy to Troutdale. Follow Halsey St and turn left into the McMennamin’s Edgefield Manor. The club has not made reservations at McMennamin’s, so dinner will be informal, and you can tour the winery and historic hotel later in the evening.

My dad is setting that up. It's going to be all day, and there's a lot of driving. The only bad thing is that you can't drive fast, so don't think it's going to be like one of our DTM meets.

Ya well I keep my fast driving to the track :) I guess that comes with age :(

A cruise up through the gorge tomorrow should be nice. Hopefully some of this blue sky will stick around for tomorrow.

Hell, I've never been to the Full Sail brewery so that is worth the trip alone!!!:D :clap:

It looks like the weather isn't going to be as nice actually. But maybe if we're lucky it won't rain at least.

I'm not only an Oregon lurker, but a vw owner. However, I'm looking to join y'all with an M Coupe or e36 M3 by the end of the year.
