She finished 1st in the "big rings, big watch, big sunglasses" category. :D

I would like to see her race. The press loves to follow her and anything to bring more of a spot light to road racing like Grand Am is OK by me.

She couldn't win an HPDE. I'd rather a currently unpaid qualified driver get her ride.

Speak not if you know not. This girl is good. She was very successful and a joy to watch in Atlantics, which is way more competitive than IRL (fresher, younger, more ambitious talent with spec cars). She finished 3rd her last year in the series, with ten top-5 finishes and 3 podiums out of 12 races, and was the ONLY driver to complete every lap of the season. She spent 2 years in relatively crappy cars at RLR. I'm hoping to see her take the top step on the podium this season.

The only reason she got near the front was because of the complete lack of competition.

Knowing Bill Auberlen a bit its kind of sad not seing him sport a BMW suit.

To see him race in a Porsche will be very different this year. Well at least I will be going to Ruby tuesday to support him and his team!!

Go Bill and hope to see you back with BMW one day!!

But has she WON anything? EVER? She's has had every opportunity possible w/o blatant cheating in a car fielded by the best team in the series!

WOW:eek:
the Bugatti ok so I want that.
After that I guess i'll take the m6.

BTW do you have any specs on that m6 like what was done to it?

It's a tube frame V8 powered machine built by Riley Technologies in NC to Grand-Am GT "prep2" specs. I believe the engine is from (or based upon) the S62 from an E39 M5.

Yep. You can run in GT for about the same as SWCGT. Koni is pretty cheap but at least you get a bunch more track time and get treated like a first class citizen as compared to SWCGT/TC. Also, there are 51 cars entered for the ST race at Daytona. I can think of at least 15 cars that have a shot at winning that class. If you are looking to prove yourself as a driver, Koni is the place to be.

Auberlen will be driving with Turner in their GS M3 as usual. Paired with Matt Alhadeff too. He wasn't technically with BMW last year either.

Thanks for the info JJ. I'm going to try to run at least one Koni race this year. We'll see how it goes...

The only reason she got near the front was because of the complete lack of competition.

Really??!! Jon Fogarty?? Andrew Ranger?? Alex Figge?? Ryan Dalziel?? Adam Pecorari?? Joey Hand??

Come on! I'm not saying she's the second coming... just that she's good. did you see when she got chopped by Dan Wheldon last season? 180 mph, she gets knocked in the front right wheel... she never lifted - I watched the footage with telemetry, 100% throttle, she recovered from the slide, stayed down on the apron, and calmly radiod her crew for instructions.

No, she hasn't won a pro race yet, but she has serious skills, and is one of the best things to happen to IRL in years! I mean you've got Andretti, Kannan, big names, but who gets the most face time? Who has the most and biggest endorsement contracts?

She belongs there because she is a pro-quality driver and smokin' hot, and both are good for business.

^+1... she is def. a professional and deserves to be where she is. Although I would love to see her win something soon!
Oh yea... Anyone else gonna be down there for the 24 hour race???

Damn Rob, you're not that funny on the phone when people call with questions!

Interestingly, I don't treat the internet as serious business like most.

Two more sick burns for ya though, just for good measure...

and calmly radiod her crew for instructions.

If you need instructions to get back into first place and drive fast, it's a rough deal.

Although I would love to see her win something soon!

So would her sponsors.

Who has the most and biggest endorsement contracts?

Any Nascar Cup driver, everything else is small potatos.
