Hey guys quick question - I just picked up a whole bunch of v-band clamps and didn't realize in the description when I ordered but they are the male/female clamps. Until this day I've only ever used standard "unisex" (?) v-band flange clamps. These things though, are AWESOME. I am sure some of you guys are using them, but to me "v-band" was always the plain flat seal clamp that slid around and could leak. These guys interlock! There is a male lip and a female receiver machined in the mating surfaces to lock them together, and where the pipe goes over there is a shoulder about 3/32" that will let you sit the pipe on the flange square.

Pretty hot - my last setup, when taken apart, there was an obvious exhaust leak (not audible or visible though) between one v-band at the bottom of the down pipe and the wold be "cat" section. Its because the clamp was just a plain unit and it must have not been flush when I welded everything up!

I look forward to installing these 4" v-band and mandrel bends (which look like elephant trunks btw).

Just a heads up they are "vibrant" brand - not the cheapest ones but I can see why now.
