i have a 98 750. the covers on the rear of the intake close to the fire wall are causing 2 bad vacuum leaks. also the car idles rough, check ingine light is on with sereral misfire codes / p0173 / p1270 /.. i am sure that these are the problem. has anyone had this before? i serched the posts and found several things for the v8 but none for the v12. i need to know what they are called and where i can get them.? and also if there is any way to replace them with out removing the intake manifolds?

I had a long reply for you but it didn't post:mad. the p1270 could be a vaccuum leak but could also be your MAF sensors. That seems to be the cause of my rough idle and p1270 code. Cleaning them makes it go away for only a while. They will need to be replaced.
Anyway, here's a link to help you track down the parts you think you need. It's pre set to my car but you can change it.

They are the CCV valves, crankcase ventilation valves, they do go bad and they can be replaced without pulling the intake but it takes some time and some good tools. Snap-on makes a 1/4 inch ratchet that accepts screwdriver type bits. I cut one down so its about 1/4 of an inch shorter and it just fits. good luck.
