Yep, they can have as many as 20 in a littler. All 20 will not survive more than likely but it is possible. I couldn't handle 20 pups, hell I'm hoping Raine only has 10.

Yeah, I know... I've been cleaning out boxes of stuff over the weekend, and going through some old pictures, found a couple of the short-haired gold/black GSD my dad trained. He was my "big brother," and would go everywhere with me. :buttrock


Never met another one that seemed as smart, until one just happened to wander into our driveway last year. We were getting out of the car, when GP looked up, froze, and said, "Whoa." :eek: He was a full-grown silver/black, just standing there, absolutely quiet, watching us. Not knowing his temperament, I moved in between him & GP, and told her to shut the garage door.

Once she was inside, I simply looked at the dog and quietly said, "Sit." To my surprise, he did. I said "heel," and he got up, came over and stood at my right side, sharp as a tack. Someone had obviously trained this dog, and done a good job of it. He had an orange collar, so we walked up & down the road for a while, looking to see if anyone was out looking for him. He'd occasionally wander off to sniff something, but when I said "heel," and he'd drop what he was doing, and get right back in step.

Part of me wanted to say, "Okay fine, you're my dog now." With that kind of training though - especially off the leash - someone obviously cared about him a lot, so I knew that'd be wrong. He eventually headed off across one of the hills towards another road with some houses on it, so I figured he must have just gone off on an impromptu LRP.


For a while though, I was 8 years old again. :(

I know what you mean. I grew up raising and training GSDs and there is nothing in this world like a fully trained loyal GSD. Once I got out of the Navy I started breeding and training them myself. This litter will be an especially kick-ass litter. Raine has an unbelievable temperament and the father Zeus is a police K9 so there will me a good mix of pet quality and working quality pups.

Maybe I am trying to tilt the adoption in my favor. I'm even letting these pups go cheap ($500) since this is her first litter. These type of pups can go for as much as $3K for an established line. I'll make a post with pics when the litter drops. I've already got a few people who are interested and want to put a deposit down.

Well it was an awesome meet. Everyone started to scurry out around 4:30. Boozie, said he counted around 30-35 people in and out all day, and I think roughly 15-20 cars. It was cold as fuck outside. Then again he is special, and had been drinking... But it was awesome.
