Wow, how quickly we turn away from the topic! I really dont even see why the size of the letters would affect people. I dont really pay attention to that.. Im here for the help,not trying to win a typing contest. But anyway, I know if you type in BMW e38 on e-bay scan through and there is a fix for that thats like 10 bucks or so... Dont know what its about but you could see for yourself if you go there. If not, the e38.org has helpfull tips as well. I need to address this problem to mine as well. Anyways,good luck..

Actually he is not - when you type in caps on a forum - it is considered YELLING! Not very pol,ite especially when you are asking for help....

Second you were not very specific in your question - is the display dark or is it missing some of the small pixals that make up the letters/numbers???

This will make a difference - the latter is or can be a goodwill replacement from BMWNA - the specifics are detailed in e38.org.

you can call bmwna. they will fix under good will only if your odometer pixels are going out with a deductible of around 100.00. if its not in the odometer your out of luck and the cost is around 1100.00. they fixed mine when my car had 109k but I was missing half my odometer. give them a call - good luck.
