So my lady friend was in the car and hit something on the radio and all of a sudden I could not control the ipod from the stearing wheel/radio.

I reset the ipod and now it works when I hit 3 on the radio but does NOT display the song playing on the radio and whenever I get in the car and plug in the ipod (take it into work with me to listen to it there) it instantly goes to the same song.

How can I do a full reset on this thing to get me back to point A?

its a 2002 sedan and a vid ipod.

Is this a Business CD or Navigation equipped BMW? If Business CD, you should press CD6/TRACK1, then return to CD1 for text display.

It is the Business CD player, I will give that a shot.
