1997 840... Fuel Tank Purge Solenoid is located on the front of the engine, passenger side. Has (2) wires going to it and (2) vacuum lines. One line runs to a "T" fitting which has the "in series" line running up to the Throttle body. Where does the other vacuum line go? Mine dry rotted off at the "T" fitting and I can not find a trace of it. If someone would do a backwards blueprint off their car and tell me where it goes I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Rod

C'mon... somebody pop their hood and answer this one for me. If I don't have enough information to locate, please let me know. I've capped the line for now but will lose sleep over it.

Yes I did ... 13-15 last view displayed. I "think" that's it, but it doesn't show where the line off the bottom of the "T" terminates. Thanks for taking a shot at it tho, much appreciated.

On my '97 840 the "T" fitting is caped off. This was also dry rotted a few years back causing a vacuum leak.

The cap is #7 in the REALOEM view of FUEL TANK BREATH.VALVE/DISTURB.AIR VALVE components.

Me too! What a pain in the asss it was trying to locate this pesky vacuum leak, even with a smoke machine!
Here's a pic I took...

That's it Bro's, thanks I have a great big smile and will be able to sleep tonight. I was getting the check engine light and code for O2 Sensors, Manifold leak etc... stuff way more expensive than a rubber cap. Found the leak and started scratching my head and my ass trying to figure out what went there.

you could also just buy a 2-side barbed connector at Homedepot for $1.50 and connect the two rubber lines, or you can get 1 solid continuous rubber line and get rid of the splice all together...

You guys are great! Item #7 "cap" solves my deliemma. I guess, like many, my cap was just rotted off for some reason. I am curious how that would happen when the rest of my hoses are like new! Like one suggested, to prevent this happening again, I might just eliminate the nipple fitting and replace it with a longer hose from the module to the throttle body.
