i gave in to the insurance company which is strange since i always fight companies when they try to fuck me up the ass, but hey i got my pos replacement and put 3 grands towards college payments

When my wife totaled her Chevy wagon (not her fault) we did a bunch of research before we talked to the insurance company. Their first offer was a real lowball. We had pictures showing that it was in good condition and receipts showing that it was well maintained. We countered with the values from Edmunds, NADA, etc, including an increased value because it had low miles. They relented and gave us slightly above average retail, which was a long way from their original offer.

We drove the V70XC and V50XC and ended up with a 328xi wagon...sorry, touring.
