right now i have decided on getting 15x7 with a 4-5 inch backspace from diamond racing, plain rims really but david mcintyre had then on his wide body 320i for a while and it didnt look to bad, does anyone know where i can source either a set of korman wide flares, or turbo style flare to make this car look smoother? also i have seen single headlight grill conversions does anyone have any to sell, or can i only get them from bavarian recycle?

well, all those things are on ebay right now.

the flares and the single light conversions. they're one like the 3rd page or something like that. just go through all 3 and look, ebay is magic my friend :D
just search BMW e21 and 3 pages of STUFF will come up. go through and look for what you need.

I've been browsing ebay daily since I got the car. Never know what you'll find that you didn't know you needed.

i had seen those, they are kinda my last choice on the fender flares, the ones from korman are awesome but i called for a price and he wants 800 for them a little out of my price range for those... i know there is also a lsd on there right now, but 450 i can find one for cheaper, does anyone have one for sale for around 300

I had the diamond wheels on one of my cars for a while, and they were grossly heavy. They really held the car back. I would think twice if they are the steel plain wheels, because they will slow your car down immensely.

You saw a noticiable difference just from wheels huh?

i dont think i will see a difference considering the rims weigh 16lbs thats not all that much, how much does an average pair of 15x7 bbs weave pattern rims weigh?

sprung and un-sprung weight are two different things. I've heard taking 10 lbs of un-sprung weight off your car is like take 30 lbs of sprung weight, or something.

I have some wheels you might like. Click my sig and look through the pics for the ones with 12 round holes. They are aluminum Dura Light racing wheels, 15x7 with zero offset. You aren't allowed to say 'backspace' in reference to a european car, but thats about 4". They are very light.
