Ok, the grand Oklahoma weather is taking a turn for the better starting tomorrow and is supposed to improve all weekend long. This is my window for the motor swap. Jed, Than, and all others that have dropped and replaced an i6, is there anything I need to watch for or any tips to save time that you can impart before I get started? The plan is to bring the engine/tranny combo out the front together, swap necessary parts and put the new back in the same way.
What all do I need and need to know? (beyond the basics of course)

WOW! that build of yours is going to be amazing! Nice work.
thanks for the pointers, what I'm doing will require much less customizing and more of a plug and play swap. My 914 build looks more like your LS1 swap. Once again, thanks!

Take out the front end, it will be a lot easier. Check out my sig for my 328Ti build if you haven't already. Since you're doing OBD1 you don't have to worry about EWS and stuff like the OBD2.
I will see you on the streets after you finish... :)
