Well today was the first day for gruge racing at the local drag strip (Maple Grove in Reading, Pa) so me and some friends went out....This was my second time ever at the track, raced the Corrado once. My only power mod is Supersprint cat-back. I also had the big 18's on so they wernt helping anything. My best time was the last run and it was:
13.918@96.87
60' time was 2.062 which was also best of the day for me as well :mdrbig lemme know what u think
That is an excellent time and especially for your first time out with the //M!:buttrock

:buttrock im a track natural like you :)
KidCorrado,
Did they make you wear a helmet and what were the weather conditions like? Do you have any idea what the 18' tire/wheel combo that you're running weighs? I think that the stock wheels/tires weigh a little over 50lbs filled to the recommended psi, so I'm just wondering how much heavier the 18's are?
Also, did the previous owner happen to include the original wheels and tires in the sale?

Well all my other runs were hovering right at 14.0 and you dont have to wear one untill you break into the 13s and i did that my last run...so next time ill have to:(
Um i dont know how much they weigh but i know its not light at all...and yea i dont have any stock wheels to put on to try out...which sucks

Excellent runs! :buttrock
What psi were you running front and rear? And what size and type of tires were you running?
I haven't been to Maple Grove since like 1995...

Silver: i was running regular street tire pressure, not even sure what it is. Im running Pirelli P-Zero's, 245/35/18 rear and 225/40/18 fronts. I launched at 2 grand even and just dumped the clutch and went, she lauches like a bat outta hell...no spinning what so ever. Yea i live about 30 mins from maple grove...i like it :)
I have an E36 M3, 5 speed

Nice work. If you want an even better 60' time, try dropping the rear tires psi by 4-5 psi, and raise the fronts by 10 psi, and try practicing riding the clutch, so you can launch higher, the closer to torque peak at launch, the better.
Plus, riding the clutch out versus dumping it- better for your drivetrain (longevity-wise). Clutches are made to wear out, and are a lot cheaper to replace than differentials, tranny's, etc...
You can still eek another 2-3 tenths out of that baby! :buttrock
