Yes, I got my 1996 M73 850Ci this Summer. I'm the second owner. 75k now on the OD. I hate to say it, but you all know it, you gotta love an old rich guy croaking...that's how we get the good ones.

Modification's and fixes/maintenance have included throwing star wheels with Michelen's, CD43 & DICE iPod adapter, seat motor work, tie rod assemblies, and inspection II. Met with the veritable Jon Nelson for headlight adjuster fixes. New HIR's from Bill Fox installed.

We are a little dirty here in the pix but we are now running like a dream. Traveled to Richmond and back from Arlington (I-95) for New Years averaging 78 mph, 20.5 mpg, and topped out in a sprint at 120. Beautiful.

I cannot annunciate how valuable the resources of boards like this have been to me in the short time I have been here. With such a rare automobile, ya'll are more expert than anyone else, even BMW themselves. My thanks to the contributors here and I hope to gain value through my experiences with you as well..

I'm not good enough yet to include pixs, but if ya'll are inclined, here she is:

Nice and I hope you can find somewhere to enjoy your car safely because the roads in Arlington are sort of tiny and restricted.:rolleyes

That is a cold blooded line! Not a good way to be looking forward to. IMO!

I know the croaking line was a bit cold. My apologies. What I meant was it is that kind of person that is a 1st owner and kept the car his whole life up until the end means he probably loved and cared for it...with means to do so. I simply want to carry on the same attitude during my tenure of ownership.

Cool! I'll be waiting for it!---) Just kidding, I know you mean well and it's true most of the best cars are had by Collecters and enthusiests, It just souded like you were waiting for the phone to ring. Make sure you have some shock tower plates installed, If not check back with Jon for a set, They will save you a bundle in the long run and there cheap and take less than 10 minutes to install. The car looks great!
