Anyone have any (serious) ideas for a bachelorette party? We live in Boston and they live in Newport, RI. Most of the girls are from the Boston/RI area so anything local other than the islands (nantucket/vinyard) are out. There are about 16 of them. My gf is looking at villas in places like the BVI's but I keep telling her there are no clubs/bars there so they'll be bored. They want something like downtown NYC on a Pittsfield, MA budget... Any ideas for all-inclusive trips? Good destination towns in the US? I think Vegas is out... but not sure.

Guys are doing their Bparty in May (15th-19th) in Charleston, SC (we are getting a house on Folly Beach if anyone knows the area) where my brother went to college. That late in May the weather will be beautiful. The girls want to go ideally the same weekend as we do ours so they don't have to sit home knowing that we'll be getting lap dances... and we won't have to sit home alone knowing that some 14" dude is slapping his balls... you can fill in the rest.

Any ideas???

Looking for ideas in NC, SC (not charleston), GA & FL if in May - or if later in the summer (between June & August) then places like the hamptons, islands (block, nantucket, etc.) are feasable. Also they are considering an all inclusive package to somewhere tropical as long as there is night life...

IIRC clubs / bars close pretty early on the Vineyard. 1am I think. Just like Newport. :( They'd probably have to find a house party to continue making trouble...

Second HHI & McBane is right that you may lose a few women to some guy who owns a 100' yacht. You can find fairly inexpensive places to stay & can rent some fairly enormous houses that can accommodate everyone. Here is the link to one of my best friend's father rental houses that he owns on HHI. Sleeps up to 14 easily & is less than 50 yd walk to the beach on a private path.

They can also fly into Savannah & will save a lot more $$ than flying directly into HHI. It is about a 40 minute drive onto the island from the SAV airport.

Miami is also a good choice b/c that will be a off peak time of year. Right now is peak season there. Hotels will be cheaper at that time, but food & drinks will still be $$.

STRONG choice for Charleston for the guys. I lived there for many years & moved from Charleston to New England. Bill Murray has a place on Folly Beach, so you may run into him. A few CofC females may still be around & working on their tans at the Washout at the end of Folly Beach.
