anyways, i have a rust free california 635csi that i bought from the original owner while i was on vacation in san diego. but, it is a 5 speed, does have a lsd, and is 10x more reliable than a m motor car.

do you have pics of the 635? or the xr, for that matter? i had a friend who was really into merkurs, I was going to build an xr into a rally car, he was going to help, be a crew chief and all that.

the car looks way better now since i polished the rims for 16 hours, they really shine!

a seriously great and underappreciated auto

The XR was seriously an amazing car. Sad that they only were around for ~3 years in the US. They made the cossie over in europe for a good long time, right? Ford Cosworth RS500.....:drool:
