Hi folks

Noob here. Just picked up an '05 530i, not completely decked out. I'm not well-versed in the iDrive options, however mine isn't the L7, nor does it have a CD changer. I'd like to connect my 3G iPod and outboard XM receiver if at all possible. I've read in another forum on an aux connector installation. Is this a possibility on my car? The BMW website does not list it, just the iPod adapter.

Just go to your dealer and they can tell you wheather or not there is an aux input available for your vehicle.

an aux input is available, but for the price, just get the ipod adapter, its much easier. if you were in the chicago area, i would gladly do the install and program for you for half the cost.
