Are the seats from any other BMW models (E36,E46,??) a direct swap into a Z4 without new/modified mounting brackets? Any idea what the cost of a single OEM Z4 sport seat is? Any suggestion for a website with OEM equipment prices?

Seriously, I'm not one for telling newbies to search, but even the most cursory investigation would have turned up this info - there are a few active threads on the topic even now.

First off, the E46 seats will fit the rails, but the base is too thick for the Z4, leaving the driver perched as if on a high chair. BlackSapphireZ fit them on a lark once.

There are 2 types of Z4 seats - sport seats and M Sport seats. The M Sports are listed at an MSRP of $5049 per seat.
