I'll be doing the ho(e)-down (no pun intended) at some local country bar that my friends convinced me to go to since I am the most "country" of the group - whatever that's suppose to mean. 50 dollar open bar from 8-2 was their last bargaining chip. It worked.

My little '08 story: So I'm at this country bar at about 8 o'clock...we get in there and it's packed. No tables or booths available. So we try to pay off people to get their booth, but they weren't having it. I would have said f' it and just danced all night, but I didn't know how to line-dance, and I wasn't inebriated enough yet to go try.

But everything turned around for the better when I go to buy 6 shots of Jack, thinking I'd have to pay for shots of course, as open-bar generally is mixed drinks and beer. NOPE! Free shots, wine, everything. Oh the glory. Last thing I remember is myself out on the dance floor doing my version of the square dance at around 2am. I'd say that my version of the square dance was more of a pentagon, didn't include many straight lines, and was not limited to staying on ones feet. I think I'll be staying in bed for the first day of 2008

Westford was really fun even though we were 6 of the only 8 people under 50. Still though everyone mixed and we didn't feel like "those youngsters".
