Just got through installing a set of MAGNAFLOW cans on my 850. I welded the stock tips on and had the whole thing powder coated to retain a stock appearance. The look is stock, but the sound is FANTASTIC!

Nice job. How did you deal with the front of the muffler since there is a pretty sharp bend there?

The MAGNAFLOWS are considerably shorter than stock, the bend is not a problem - a 45 degree elbow took care of it, plus these cans weigh about a 1/3 of the stock ones.

12418, but there is an even shorter can (3 1/2 x 7). Mine are 5x 8...

I'm thinking of going Magnaflow on my 840. I'd like to have more of a growl and the added touch of less weight is always nice, too.

BTW, they look real sharp, nice job.

Excellent choice. I also have Magnaflow. The sound is wonderfully deep and manly!

...here's the "other" end of the car...Is that a shark on the side of the fender? Can't find my glasses!

If you saw a Shark, you don't need glasses - very good observation (actually there is one on the other side too).

Would you entertain doing up a set for me? Just the cans/tips/hangers. If so, figure a price for your time/materials and let me know. I'm REAL interested.

I left the cats and got rid of the resonators...I love the sound...but hated my choice of tips origially (rectangular) But...finally replaced the tips and I love the look of these new ones! Of course I fix it right before I sell it...FYI (these tips are from a TechArt Porsche Cayenne, just in case anyone likes the look)
