Second it will sound like those hondas u see at the movies on friday nights. So its not good for the economy and its just a constant droning sound, and you will probabley lose preformance. Just buy a Remus powersound and have it set up to race, and that should do it for ya. M0nK3y 12-31-2007, 12:01 PM You will injure your engine because you will lose so much backpressure.......... Enik 12-31-2007, 12:53 PM You will sound like a retard. nathancarter 12-31-2007, 12:53 PM . wasp 12-31-2007, 02:32 PM :lol Elliott308 12-31-2007, 02:36 PM Basically u would look and sound like an ass RXP rider 12-31-2007, 04:40 PM wow wow, ok i get it bad idea i had no idea really just throwin it out there, but i figured backpressure would be a bad deal, I am ordering a remus exhaust should sound prty good. AdamBath 12-31-2007, 04:42 PM i've run my 330 without exhaust, just the stock exhaust manifolds, never more than in the driveway, and it sounds burly but retarded. don't do it. Smilez@EuroDyne 12-31-2007, 04:45 PM that question was kind of like saying should i cut my springs or buy some. Elliott308 12-31-2007, 04:52 PM haha, Remus is great! wasp 12-31-2007, 05:03 PM did you guys know if you run no air intake at all you get more air into motor? and hence more hp? i learned this today watching jerry springer Elliott308 12-31-2007, 05:15 PM Im not going to be one to try that, some one else can. But would'nt the Engine over heat without an intake wasp 12-31-2007, 05:20 PM :help Elliott308 12-31-2007, 05:24 PM Oh and the fact that it was on Jerry Springer...hmmmm. And then you watch jerry springer!? thats pretty bad wasp 12-31-2007, 05:26 PM :crazynoel chucki 12-31-2007, 07:24 PM You might want to make sure you have some type of intake air filter for normal driving situations...something about putting particulate in between rings and cylinder walls sounds like a bad idea. That being said, I replaced the airbox on my old car with a K&N (MK III Jetta VR6), mounted directly where the old airbox was (poor man's Cold Air Intake). I have no idea if it increased mileage or power, but it definitely changed the sound. Watch it so water can't get in (also a bad thing)! Theory would tell me that increasing the air intake area at the filter would make it easier to pull in air, which--in theory again--would translate into more power. wasp 12-31-2007, 08:03 PM :eatpop: bigdog68 12-31-2007, 10:25 PM I know how much different my car sounded when I changed out the intake, infact when I had the stock airbox off in the garage I started the car up to hear it rather unrestricted and it has a nice growl, but my DINAN airbox is a nicer sound! |
