i just finished replacing the oil pan (spun out, hopped onto the center median and it pretty much destroyed it)

drove it around for a bit, heard a rubbing noise, im thinking its from the tires needing an alignment and there was also a burning smell that i couldnt tell what it was but i could smell coming in from the driver vent and it was kinda strong by the brake fluid resevoir.

drove it again last night and on the way back home going up it i started losing power after about 10mins or so. i tried goin in and out of gears but it would just stay at about 20mph. checked the oil and it was really low, the night before it was leaking a bit but not enough to drain all the oil in one go

tried it last nite and this morning and the clutch just goes all the way down and comes up but doesnt go into gear and the brakes dont seem to work either

suggestions? could me spinning out damaged something else besides oil pan? help.

( i've replaced the master, slave and the clutch not to long ago)

wrong forum buddy... this is the E21 forum (77-83 3-series).

sounds like you've got a brake fluid leak. is the brake fluid reservoir empty?
about the losing power deal - i don't know, but i guess it's possible that something was rubbing on the driveshaft and/or another drivetrain component. or that the oil pan was installed incorrectly - that may be the source of your oil leak. either way, don't run it with low oil, that's very bad for the engine.

another thing to check: remove your A/C and power steering belts - one of those components may have seized up, hence slowing your engine and/or slipping belts, causing a burning smell and a rubbing noise. also remove the main belt and try (with the engine off) to turn the water pump and alternator by hand. they should spin freely. good luck.

ack sorry guys i misclicked on the wrong 3 series link and couldnt figure out how to delete the post >_<

as for the fluid level it is completely full, and tried the brakes again tonight and theres pressure where yesterday there was not

but i think there may be air in there somewhere or a damge hose looked at the oil pan and saw a bit leaking from the oil pan bolts, me and my dad tried to re-torque it yesterday so i think they are not to correct torque
