I bought my coupe 2 years ago. My handing has gotten worse over time, and
is borderline dangerous at this point. I can't keep the car aligned longer than
a month. Located in the boston area, any other Z3 coupes out there?

How's your rear subframe look? I know those were weak points with the car.

What exactly is it doing? Mileage? Maintenance? Some more info would really help.

Thanks for your reply.. Coupe has 86,250 miles... Rear subframe is ok...
Although i have that camber problem i've seen mentioned on here... My right rear tire appears to have negative camber without anything in the trunk and almost an empty tank of fuel. My main problems are with the handling on normal roads. The car pulls either left or right harshly. And it's not
traimlining. It always wants to pull right even going 2 mph the steering wheel
almost thinks it should be to the right it defaults to that position no matter what.... Just when driving i can nurse the wheel in the opposite direction, let go and it goes either way at times... Could this be an isolated control arm problem....?

Replace rear trailing arm bushings, and front lower control arm bushings.

I had an issue with rear camber on my M3/4, and ended up replacing the RTABs. So far, the car sits fine, but I'm waiting until spring to open her up and see if that was it.

Are you hearing any noises when you go over bumps or anything? Does the car have an aftermarket suspension or all stock and/or original suspension?

Just a thought, too, before you go replacing all the suspension items. Check your tires. Low pressure and/or worn rubber will do the same thing.

I would take the car to German Performance Service in Cambridge and let Marc have a look (www.2002racing.com). He's familiar with the Z's suspension and should be able to take care of it. Randomly replacing bushings until you find the right one seems like an expensive way to fix the problem.

+1 - I had my RTABs replaced at GPS and was very happy with Marc's service, courtesy and the time he took to explain what was going on with the car. As I said earlier, I'll wait until the spring to see if that fixed the problem, but the car appears to be sitting better now.
