is 3-10 HP a big difference? K&N filters suggest a 3-10 HP difference when using K&N Filters. Like, would I be able to 'feel' a noticable difference.

No. It would have to be more like 20-30 hp to feel in the seat of the pants. Torque is more important when looking to feel a difference.

I do not believe adding a filter will add that much HP. It should sound better with a more free flow air filter.

On my 99 Z3 Coupe, I had EIS CAI and didn't really feel any difference. It sounded nice around 3800 RPM. I really feel the difference after SuperSprint exhaust and Shark Injector. You can feel the pull after adding the three mods.

I realized this is the E85 forum. The mods I mentioned is not available. Sorry.

3-10 is possible... but feeling it won't be likely. I believe the 3-10 they reference is the difference between replacing a clean filter with a K&N versus replacing a dirty filter with a new K&N.

A smart fly could find his way into your motor through a K&N.. and you won't gain ANY horsepower that you can actually feel or "use". I sleep much better knowing that I'm getting proper filtration and "losing" a very small amount of additional air that the engine might actually take in through one of the various foam filters on the market.

I swapped in the K&N. I noticed 0 change in terms of sound or performance. I wasn't expecting any performance increase (I know better) but I was expecting to hear it breathe differently. Nothing new to my ears. Its just a testament to how good the stock intake system is, I believe.

K&N filter drop ins can yield significant air flow changes / improvements on some cars... this is not one of them. If you're going to use an oiled air filter, I still like these.

Well, I dont think I'll be getting a K&N Filter then, is there any other options to gain power without making any modifications that void warranty ? I am open to all suggestions.

Also, I was told that exchaust will increase power, so if I get a better exhaust system, will that cost me my warranty ?

Don't upgrade your car if you're worried about warranty and don't understand the implications. Laws vary by country, but a general rule is NOTHING voids warranty for something it does not affect. A new stereo does not void your warranty if a shock gives out, but lowering springs will... get the drift?

New exhaust: void warranty on exhaust track
New intake: void warranty on intake track

etc etc
