I am looking at purchasing an 04 530I with 54K miles and no extended warranty. Who has the best extended warranties for BMW? With this car I am purchasing what type of extended warranty should I buy? How long of a term and til how many miles?
I would never own this car without a warranty so please help point me in the right direction.
thanks in advance

Guardian Warranty Corp is pretty solid. I can get you a price if you want, or your dealer can.
OTOH, a BMW of that age and miles SHOULD qualify for Certified Pre-Owned status.

get a warranty that will cover ELECTRONICS since this car have more problems with electronics rather than the powertrain.

I totally agree with your statement about not wanting to own the car without a warranty. I'm the same way.
Your best bet is to buy a CPO car (7yr/100k) and extend the zero maint package to 7yr100k as well. That combo is about the best warranty in the car biz. You pay for gas and worn out tires, while BMW will pays for everything else. It's too late to add that car you already found (b/c has over 50k mi already) but I'd suggest you keep looking for a CPO car...or at least find a private party car with under 4yr/50k and see about having a BMW dealer sell you the extended + zero maint package.
