Hello I am looking at purchasing a used 2004 530I with 54K miles and I wanted to know what concerns or things I should look for in this year vehicle. Any specific issues that the 04's had? I know it was the first year with the body style change.

The car has the premium package but not the sport package. Is there a huge difference in this car between sport package and no sport package? how much will I regret not having it?

when I bought my 2004 530I a couple of months ago, it made a rattling sound in the dash. Turns out there was a recall on something behind the firewall that caused a vibration in the dash and steering wheel that had never been performed on the car which needed to be fixed. Also, make sure you never get the trunk wet...all the navigation boards are back there. I found out the hard way when a cooler fell over. Additionally, if you want blue tooth, you need to go with a 2005. Everything I've read about the aftermarket system sucks. Other than that, it's an awesome car!
