Hey guys...
Well, I'm finally admitting I can't afford to keep up with the needed repairs and upkeep of my 525i.... it's really depressing, and I DON'T want to do this; but I think I have to sell Ava....
I wouldn't be ready to actually seel her for about another 5 months or so because insuring a newer vehicle (for full coverage because of the financing) is going to be too expensive until a few older tickets are more than 3 years old, but I wanted to get an idea of what I can get for her...
Honestly, it's a good car... just not a good daily driver... she'd be much better suited to be a project car... or if you must, a parts car, but I'd love to see her restored to glory... Her PO beat the shit out of her and so I was stuck with WAY too many repairs and I can't afford it anymore... Below I've given a list of repairs I've done to her since I bought her in March, and so you know, aside from a half-completed sound system installation, she's bone stock- no mods done to her whatsoever. Paint is scratched quite a bit, but only a few go down to the primer. One minor "dent" (i say dent, but it actually pops out) on the drivers door. Also, she's beat the odds in New England and has NO body rust what so ever...
1993 black 525i Automatic non VANOS m50 engine
Repairs:
COMPLETELY new/rebuilt head
Multiple components of block replaced due to wear from previous cracked head
New Radiator
New water pump
New brake pads & rotors
Four brand new (today) studded snow tires
Needs:
Suspension work (tie rods and ends i believe)
A new A/C pump
Gas door (not the gas cap) needs to be reattached, a plastic component to the hinge broke in a frigid storm recently while I was filling up and so it fell off...
Any questions, please feel free to PM me or reply here, I'll do my best to keep up with answers, but your best bet is PM.
Thanks guys!!
Kate
