Anyone have any comments on steering issues Z4 2006
The steering feels like I'm constantly correcting it
Some may call it tramlining,
I find it worst in cold weather and when I'm driving at lower speeds ( a little bit of a snag at high speeds )
The car feels a bit unsafe
I only ghave 5800 miles

If you do a search you will see this is a common issue with the stock run flats. I swapped to other tires and my problem went away.

Have you verified the correct tire pressure?

Romer thanks for the comment
What tires did you switch to ?
I also have a 535I with run flats and I have no problems with this issue..

hi, i just picked up a 2003 z4 and it also feels like it wants to track the ruts in the road unless i find a very nice piece of highway which is defintely not in the city. There are run flat tires on it. Could this be a tow in wheel alignment issue?? It does not make for a relaxing drive.

Check your tire pressures and wear, but dumping the run-flats for a set of real tires ought to resolve the problem.

The early Z4's 03 & 04 had steering column issues. There is a little known TSB about it. The solution is to replace the entire column. Dealer should cover this expense, but they have to really dig for the TSB.
